Its first venture has been to introduce a radical approach to the challenge of building an effective organisational health and safety culture. It's an approach which, within a few weeks of launch, was so enthusiastically received by leading companies that tailored programmes were in place within months!
Behavioural Safety Solutions
Called Modern Safety Culture, the approach breaks new ground in helping organisations to effect a sustained improvement in their health and safety performance. It differs from conventional 'behavioural safety' approaches in critical ways, including:
- adopting a 'top down' approach, engaging the company's leadership to create the example, rather than focusing on the 'shop floor'
- providing quantifiable processes and accurate measures of performance so that health and safety can be managed like any other aspect of the business
- ensuring comprehensive and continuous analysis and tracking to identify under-performance and identify effective action
Most behavioural safety techniques only address the need to reduce critical risks, not the underlying cultural causes. We address all factors that influence safety in the short and long terms, pinpointing behaviours and establishing precise responses.
